Globalisation and the Taxation of Temporary Residents
The MRC commissioned Ernst and Young to produce a report to argue forthe reform of our international taxation arrangements as they relate to the taxation of temporary residents. Legislation providing for a foreign source income tax exemption for temporary residents was passed by the Parliament on 28 March 2006. This legislation was based on recommendations in this paper.
